On this page we will discuss automotive engine tuning, basic engine fundamentals, and automotive fabrication.

I was bitten by the speed bug in 2002 and have been involved with automotive racing since 2003. Tuning fuel injected ECU’s (Engine Control Units) has been a passion for some time now. I started off tuning an Autronic engine management ECU’s and have dabbled in other manufacturers. I committed a lot of time to the 2004 season and tuning turbocharged 1.8 liter 4 cylinder using only 93 octane pump gas to see how fast I could get the car down the drag strip. The result was a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds at 118 miles an hour. Late in the season I start tuning race fuel (c16) but ran out of time and money to keep racing and only ran two races. I ended the season with a time of 11.4 seconds at 125 miles an hour. I wish to one day soon find the time to push the car into the 10 sec range but its tough when life decides to move you in a different direction. For now my intention is to discuss some of my experience with others who are looking for a little direction or knowledge.
